CATS, YOGURT AND VONNEGUT

Last January we went to Larnaka, a city on the Greek side of Cyprus (map below). It has long been a favorite stop over for naval ships on their way to and from the Suez Canal. Great weather greeted us; as did about 2500 stray cats, gallons of yogurt and tzatziki, and the ever pleasant Greek hospitality. Little did we know Kurt Vonnegut has hidden himself away here as proprietor of a fantastic little Irish pub just off the water.
